Special Events

Unfinished Business is the perfect entertainment choice for your special event. The appeal of 1960s music is universal. The vibe is upbeat and positive. The performers professionally pace the music so that everyone has a great time. With the exception of very large events, the band is self contained for sound and lights. A wireless microphone is available for speeches, toasts, announcements, etc. Perfect for weddings - music for all ages. No better music for fund raising galas or company parties. A must for wine tasting and vintner festivals - great wine and groovy music. A NO BRAINER for class reunions. Appropriate dress, great attitude, professional equipment and years of experience. Completely PRO!

You have a lot to worry about on your special day. The band will not be one of those worries.
Make your event unique and memorable with Unfinished Business.

Weddings

If you are planning a wedding, consider booking Unfinished Business to provide live 60's rock 'n' roll music for your reception.

Here are some comments by people who have seen Unfinished Business perform at recent weddings:

  • "I can't thank you enough for the amazing performance you and your band did at the wedding. Everyone that attended can't stop talking about how good the music was and how the songs were so fun to dance to! Thank you again for everything." Bride Nell Greenberg, the Shiffrar/Greenberg wedding, Nipomo, October 2011
  • "what a fabulous job (the band) did...(the band) made the reception...absolutely fabulous!!! Thanks again for a day that we will never forget!!"
Ann Woods, Mother of the Bride, Woods/Higgins Wedding, Pasadena, August 2011
  • "A terrific and fun performance at our reception.  We have received tons of comments about how much fun it was and how great the band was - the dance floor was packed the whole time..."
Marty & Teresa Molina about their wedding reception, San Luis Obispo, September 2009
  • "Absolutely amazing!  When those barn doors opened to Unfinished Business rocking to "Shake it up baby" ("Twist and Shout"), we knew the party had just begun!  The dance floor was never empty and every song was a hit!  Our guests had a blast.  We can't believe the e-mails and phone calls from family and friends sharing with us that it was one of the most amazing weddings they have ever been to!  When you offered to learn "I Loved Her First" for the father daughter dance, well that was over the top.  There was not a dry eye in the room!  But, to bust out with Mustang Sally right after, it was perfect. Got Stephanie (the bride) and her daddy cracking up!  I can't thank you enough for making Stephanie and John's wedding day one that will be remembered and talked about for many years to come."
Pat and Dee Dee Harwood, Parents of the Bride, Harwood/Mende wedding, Los Olivos, July 2008
  • "You were amazing! I came into the barn, saw so many people dancing, and I said to myself, now that's a band! It was an honor to work with (Unfinished Business)...everyone enjoyed the band immensely. Thank you for everything!"
Shana Medrano , Event Coordinator, Creative Events, Harwood/Mende wedding, Los Olivos, July 2008
  • "Such strong energy, amazing talent, and an unforgettable spirit! All of our favorite 60's music was covered better than the bands who played the songs the first time! From the youngest to the oldest person there, all we can hear is "that was the best band ever!" Everyone at our wedding was up and dancing and having the time of their lives. Thanks for making our wedding dreams come true from the beginning to the last dance!"
Julie and JJ Istrin, Bride and Groom, their wedding in Calabasas, July 2008

  • "The dance floor was constantly in motion every song was a hit. They were able to keep the talking to a minimum and not take over the show. I heard all of my favorite 60's hits from the Stones to The Beatles and they were all done right."
Jenna Winkler, White/Peard wedding, Pismo Beach, October 2006

Unfinished Business will attend to all of the elements you will want for a reception that flows properly and is very entertaining and fun, such as:

  • Recorded background music during guest mingling and dinner.

  • The band leader will serve as MC, if desired, to make announcements, including the grand entrance of the wedding party, toasts (wireless microphone will be provided), cake cutting, bouquet toss, garter throw, and the bride and groom's exit.

  • The live music program will include the first and last dance for the bride and groom, other special dances, including a money dance if desired, and, if there is a song that is special to the bride and groom that the band doesn't have in its repertoire, the band will consider learning it so it can be performed especially for you at your reception.

Wineries and Vintner Festivals

Unfinished Business has performed at many wineries and vintner festivals here in "new wine country". The "good time" feel of the music is a perfect match for the "good time" feel of a wine tasting event. We would like to acknowledge Central Coast vineyards for their contributions to the entertainment dynamic of the Central Coast as well as their contributions to the economy of their communities.

It doesn't get any better than tasting world class wine and hearing classic 1960's rock and roll! Just ask any of these fine purveyors who have experienced the magic firsthand.
